Alzheimer's Mississippi is the state's largest voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care, support and advocating research. We provide vital services and support to individuals, caregivers and families in all 82 counties in Mississippi. Our mission is to provide Mississippi families with care and support, while advancing critical research toward methods of treatment, prevention, and, ultimately a cure. Walk4ALZ brings together local communities in the fight against Alzheimer's and the dementias. Walk4ALZ is the states largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's care and support services, and for advocating research. Held annually across the state of Mississippi, the inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to reclaim the future for millions. Together, families, friends, co-workers, social and religious groups and more, display a combined strength and dedication in the fight this devastating disease. The funds raised through Walk for Alzheimer's benefit the care and support effort of Alzheimer's Mississippi. We strive to: - Help families statewide by continuing to provide focus on education and support -Advocate for critical research and advancements with premier institutions and increase federal research dollars. - Speak up for the needs and rights of those facing Alzheimer's and their caregivers through our public policy initiatives. 100% of funds raised are invested back into programs in Mississippi .
