The Biggest, Baddest Art Show

 
Members of Oxford Artists' Guild are exhibiting now through December 21 at the Powerhouse.
70 original pieces of art are on display and for sale including paintings of all media, basketry, woodwork, leatherwork, and pottery. 
 
Works may be viewed Monday through Friday from 9-5 and during special after hours events.
 
A meet the artist reception will be held on Tuesday, November 10th from 6-8 featuring live music by Bill Perry.  Appetizers and cocktails will be served and the fun "People's Choice" voting contest will be held. 

An opportunity to view and bid for a Charles Chapin painting inspired by Laquon Treadwell is available until December 18.  All proceeds benefit the annual Youth Art Show held in March.

Dec 2    Free Art Classes for Adults-Art with a Kick!
Adults over the age of 40 are invited to participate in a free series of art classes through their Oxford Leisure and Lifestyles program at OPC. We will be working on various techniques and exploring different media. Class format is relaxed and process is valued more than product. The point of these classes is to have fun experimenting with art, and no experience is necessary. No advanced registration is required and students do not have to attend every class. We will begin making color wheels learning about color theory and will progress to learning about texture and line.

Dec 6    Oxford Film Festival Holiday Party

Enjoy the holidays with Oxford Film Festival at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Vance. Donations of $20 per person are suggested to attend the event. Attire: No Tie. 

Heavy appetizers and an open bar will be available. Special announcements of the selected films will be announced before presented to public.
