Sep 11    Fins Up for Film: Oxford Film Fest Fundraiser - Chance to win prizes!

The Oxford Film Festival is hosting a kick-off party on Friday, September 11 before Saturday's Ole Miss vs Fresno game!

Join us for food catered by City Grocery Restaurant group, free beer, wine and a specialty "Pretty in Pink" cocktail by Iron Bartender winner Alex Von Hardberger with great music by El Bebop Kid.

The party will serve as a fundraiser for the Oxford Film Festival and a chance to meet the new Executive Director Melanie Addington. Hosted by Harry & Elise Fyke, Wilson Law Firm and the Oxford Film Festival, this will be a great chance to enjoy mingling with friends, helping support a non-profit and looking at over the Square on a fun weekend! 

There will be raffle prizes as well to win! For $10 you get 5 chances to win great prizes including:

A Chick-Fil-A Tailgate Package, an Oxford Film Festival $1000 sponsorship prize, Oxford Film Festival VIP Tickets and goodie bag, 4 box tickets to Fresno-Ole Miss game, a gift certificate for a night's stay at The Z Bed and Breakfast, a photograph by Dick Waterman Photography, two teeth whitening by Oxford Center for Cosmetic and General Dentistry 2 teeth whitening, a University Sporting Goods package, a hour massage by Healing Hands Therapeutic Massage, pilates classes by PureRyde and dinner for 4 at the Ravine.

If unable to attend, you can still buy raffle tickets with a chance to win 3 of the prizes. Join us for a live performance and recording of the Thacker Mountain Radio Hour music by Kelly Hogan, Amy Ray, Jon Langford, Tenement Halls. This show will not air live. The show is hosted by Jim Dees and our house band, The Yalobushwhackers fronted by the amazing John Paul Keith. Featuring Literary Guest Minton Sparks: Minton Sparks fuses music, poetry, and storytelling to paint word pictures of the rural South. Her latest CD is, Gold Digger, which spans blues, folk, country, power-pop, and jazz. A native of Tennessee, Sparks recently made her debut on the Grand Ole Opry.
