Oxford Park Commission with the American Red Cross will be hosting a FREE Disaster Service Overview Class at Oxford Activity Center (400 Price Street), Saturday March 16, 2013 from 8:30-12:30pm.
Disaster Service Overview is taught in the class room and designed to inform interested community members how The American Red Cross operates in a disaster. We also review the community role in a disaster and demonstrate how it all must together to have a rapid and cohesive response to those in need. Finally we discuss how individuals make up the American Red Cross and our response depends on the individuals responding to local events.
