On November 16, 2013 from 9 am to 11 am, Hermitage Gardens of Oxford, Located at 1488 Belk Blvd., is providing free Memory Screenings through the Alzheimer's Foundation of America. It is NOT a diagnosis and it does not replace a consultation by a qualified physician or other health care professional, but it is very helpful. A memory screening can check a person's memory other than thinking skills. It can indicate if someone might benefit from a more complete medical visit. A memory screening is a simple and safe evaluation tool that checks memory and other thinking skills. It consists of a series of questions and or tasks designed to test memory, language skills, thinking ability and other intellectual functions.
